Under the honorable authorization of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, the Department of Tourism Vocational Training—acting as the Secretariat of the National Committee for Tourism Professionals—deputed three technical officers to oversee the quality of training and the final competency assessment for the Technical and Vocational Certificate 3 (Level 3), 7th Generation, for the 2024–2025 academic year. The examinations took place on December 25–26, 2025, at the Wyths Hotel and Tourism School in Phnom Penh.
A total of 25 candidates participated in the examinations across three core disciplines:
- Housekeeping: 6 candidates
- Food and Beverage Services: 9 candidates
- Front Office: 10 candidates
The assessment comprised three comprehensive components: a written examination, an oral examination, and a practical performance test.
It is noteworthy that for this training cycle, the school provided 50% scholarships to all students. The curriculum involved six months of theoretical classroom instruction followed by a three-month professional internship at partner hotels within Phnom Penh, during which students received a modest stipend. Upon completion, the employment rate for graduates is nearly 100%. Graduates have successfully transitioned into full-time roles at their internship host hotels, launched entrepreneurial ventures (such as cafes), or secured scholarships for further academic pursuits in the People’s Republic of China.
As of 2025, the Wyths Hotel and Tourism School has successfully trained 272 professionals under the Technical and Vocational Certificate 3 program, specializing in Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Services, and Front Office operations.
