On the afternoon of September 1, 2025, at the Ministry of Tourism, Mr. Chuob Ratana, Director of the Department of Tourism Vocational Training and Head of the Secretariat of the National Committee for Tourism Professionals (NCTP), presided over a meeting to monitor work progress for August and outline the strategic direction for the third and fourth quarters. The meeting defined the following key mandates:
1. Promote the dissemination and accreditation of tourism vocational training schools across capital and provincial jurisdictions.
2. Foster collaboration with Calmette Hospital to provide hospitality training for frontline staff and nursing personnel.
3. Advance the development of the Grade 12 general education textbook in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport.
4. Update and compile a comprehensive network of professors and industry experts within the tourism sector.
5. Assess the feasibility of organizing training programs for rare-language guides, evaluate and recognize the studies of "Special Tourism Guides," and launch regional and national guide training courses.
6. Accelerate the development of Tourism Vocational Qualifications (Levels 2, 3, and 4) and Certificates (Levels 1, 2, and 3) in alignment with the Cambodia National Qualifications Framework (CNQF).
7. Drive the development of training management systems and other digital platforms to facilitate the digital transformation of vocational education.
8. Study and formulate a Strategic Plan for Human Resource Development in the Tourism Sector.
9. Continue collaborative efforts to ensure the successful organization of the CAMFood & CAMHotel 2025 event.
10. Update the composition of the National Committee for Tourism Professionals to lead the implementation of the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (ASEAN MRA-TP).
11. Compile and update legal instruments and regulatory standards related to national and ASEAN regional training.
12. Brief subordinate officials on the policy lines and strategic priorities of the Ministry of Tourism under the leadership of His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, while strengthening internal unity and professional morale.
