Consultative Meeting to Further Promote Human Resource Development, Tourism Vocational Skills Training, and Research in the Tourism Sector
On the afternoon of 23 January 2026, under the guidance of Mr. Chuop Rattana, Director of the Department of Tourism Vocational Skills Training, Mr. Chhek Karun, Deputy Director of the Department, together with a team of three officials, held a consultative meeting with representatives of the Royal Academy of Cambodia.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation in human resource development, tourism vocational skills training, and research in the tourism sector. The key discussion points included:
1.Continuing collaboration on projects to organize tourism vocational training programs;
2.Development of tourism curricula and revision of relevant training materials;
3.Promotion of the recognition of the Royal Academy of Cambodia as a Tourism Professional Assessment Center;
4.Training and capacity building of civil servants between the two institutions, including the provision of scholarships;
5.Consideration of cooperation in organizing exhibitions on traditional costumes and crowns;
6.Consideration of cooperation in organizing joint tourism events at the Techo Sen Russei Treb Campus of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, Preah Vihear Province;
7.Consideration of cooperation in organizing upskilling training programs for local communities in the area of the Techo Sen Russei Treb Campus of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, Preah Vihear Province.
