Competency Assessment in Food and Beverage Services under the HoKa Hospitality Program in Preah Sihanouk Province
Congratulations to the 25 trainees currently undergoing competency assessments in Food and Beverage Services, following the successful completion of the HoKa (Hospitality Kampuchea) training program in Preah Sihanouk Province.
From January 9th to 15th, 2026, the participants engaged in an intensive six-day training curriculum designed to enhance theoretical knowledge, technical proficiency, and professional ethics. The comprehensive syllabus comprised thirteen core modules, including:
1. Professional roles in F&B services
2. Hospitality communication
3. Excellence in premium service
4. Restaurant equipment management
5. Menu and beverage product knowledge
6. Sales and service techniques
7. Operational sequences and restaurant procedures
8. Hygiene, security, and occupational safety
9. Fundamental barista skills
Following this training phase, from January 16th to 17th, 2026, trainees are being rigorously evaluated through oral examinations and practical demonstrations to validate their professional competencies.
In alignment with quality assurance protocols, a delegation from the Tourism Professional Training Department, led by Mr. Sang Chanthou, is overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of 100 tourism professionals across four key disciplines: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Services, and Culinary Arts.
This initiative is a collaborative effort between the HoKa Steering Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodia Tourism Association (CATA), with strategic financial support provided by the Skills Development Fund (SDF).
