Competency Assessment for Housekeeping Skills Under the HoKa Hospitality Program in Preah Sihanouk Province
Congratulations to the 25 trainees who have successfully completed their vocational training and are currently undergoing competency assessments in Housekeeping under the HoKa Hospitality Program in Preah Sihanouk Province.
Following an intensive seven-day training period (January 9–15, 2026) focused on theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and professional ethics, the trainees mastered 12 core modules. These included: Roles and Responsibilities in Housekeeping, Hospitality Communication, Luxury Service Standards, Housekeeping Equipment and Supplies, Linen and Bedding Management, Guest Room Cleaning and Service, Shift Preparation, Reporting Systems, Supplementary Housekeeping Services, Public Area Maintenance, Laundry Procedures, Guest Laundry Services, and on-site practical application within a hotel environment.
On January 16–17, 2026, candidates are required to undergo rigorous evaluations consisting of oral examinations and practical demonstrations to certify their professional qualifications.
Concurrently, to ensure pedagogical quality and adherence to industry standards, Mr. Sang Chanthou, an official from the Department of Tourism Vocational Training, alongside a dedicated working group, conducted an inspection and assessment of the broader training initiative. This initiative encompasses a total of 100 tourism professionals across four primary disciplines: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service, and Culinary Arts.
This program is organized through the strategic collaboration between the HoKa Project Management Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodia Tourism Association (CATA), with financial support provided by the Skills Development Fund (SDF).
