Competency Assessment for Front Office Operations under the HoKa Hospitality Program in Preah Sihanouk Province
Congratulations to the 25 trainees who have successfully completed the intensive training and are currently undergoing competency assessments in Front Office operations, conducted under the HoKa Hospitality Program in Preah Sihanouk Province.
Following a comprehensive seven-day training period (January 9–15, 2026) focused on theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and professional ethics, the participants completed 12 core modules. These modules encompassed: Receptionist Roles, Hospitality Communication, Excellence in Service, Telephone Etiquette, Front Desk Knowledge, Reservation Procedures, Advanced Reservations, the Guest Cycle, Payment Procedures, Opening and Closing Shift Operations, and Health and Safety protocols.
From January 16–17, 2026, the trainees are being subjected to rigorous competency evaluations, comprising oral examinations and practical demonstrations, to certify their professional qualifications.
In alignment with quality assurance and standardized vocational training, Mr. Sang Chanthou, an official from the Department of Tourism Vocational Training, alongside his technical team, conducted an on-site monitoring and evaluation of the training progress for a total of 100 tourism professionals. This broader initiative covers four specialized disciplines: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service, and Culinary Arts.
This program is organized through the strategic collaboration between the HoKa Project Management Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA), with financial subsidies provided by the Skills Development Fund (SDF).
